\n
\nIs there such thing as a heterozygous RECESSIVE individual? Why can't it be a heterozygous dominant individual? Wouldn't that yield the same 3:1 ratio?","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[{"id":"28789937","body":"Yeah, I think that's just a typo. 3:1 ratio is seen for a Het x Het cross, and heterozygous, by definition, means that the two alleles are different (i.e. one dominant, one recessive).

\nOn the other hand, a heterozygous x homozygous recessive cross would give a 1:1 ratio of dominant:recessive phenotypes.","dateCreated":"1287602358","smartDate":"Oct 20, 2010","userCreated":{"username":"blairgainous","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/blairgainous","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"}}],"more":0}]},{"id":"28539253","dateCreated":"1287157620","smartDate":"Oct 15, 2010","userCreated":{"username":"blairgainous","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/blairgainous","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/bio1alsection104.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/28539253"},"dateDigested":1532287805,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Genetics problems","description":"Has everyone been trying the genetics practice problems?
